If your recipe calls for a type of mustard

Before putting everything back, wipe out the drawers and cabinets with a clean, damp cloth.
Then one day I reached in the fridge for milk and poured it in a glass. It was almond milk and to my dismay there was only one third of a glass left in the carton. After searching my cabinets I found I did not have any more almond milk. But I did find rice milk. So, I filled the remaining two thirds of the glass with rice milk. When I drank it my taste buds lit up. This was it!. At last. It tasted exactly like real milk to me.
Change the sauce. Maybe your recipe calls for crock pot chicken recipe a marinara sauce, well put a white sauce on it.
I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Now you may be thinking, "Come on, that's not creating a recipe! That's just changing somebody else's creation." Well, you're right, but this is just the beginning. Learning to create your own recipes isn't going to happen overnight.

If it does not taste like real milk to you try various combination's of the different milk substitutes and you will probably hit on something that you like.

So here is the trick: buy a variety of vegetables you like such as carrots, celery, cabbage, bok choy, napa cabbage, broccoli, collard greens and some firm tofu, polenta, tempeh and rice.


The other shock that I got that day was when our tour guide explained what happened during the processing and packing of the chicken. To my surprise, whole chickens arrived yet when packed up the breast meat had been segregated from the wings and the legs. I asked my guide why this was and he explained that the breast meat was destined for mainland America but the legs and wings were to be air freighted to Eastern Europe because "Americans don't like to prepare meat with bones".
